Tomstock II: 2009 was a complete success! The Static Junkies along with several other talented acts played to a vast field of concertgoers, who lived it up during the day and on through the night by fireside. Lots of money was raised for charity, and next year's is looking to be even bigger and better!

The Static Junkies played a benefit for the 2009 Tri-Town Classic Charity Fishing Tournament, which benefitted the Liberty Youth Ranch. The Static Junkies took the stage around 5pm, playing over an old boat dock with the shimmering bay as a backdrop. Perfect weather and a great turnout made for a successful tournament and rock show.

Plans for the original gig unfortunately fell through, but friend of the band Brian was kind enough to host the Junkies at his home for a raucous poolside cookout. The band rocked into the night, with partygoers appearing thrilled with the surprise visit from the energetic quartet. New friends (& fans!) were made, and the night was a feel-good success. Thanks again to Brian from the band!

The band played to a packed house at the Cypress Lake High Class of '89 Reunion, and the rock lasted deep into the night. Old friends got together, the drinks flowed, and a great time was had by all. Thanks to our special musical guests John (on guitar) and Aaron (on drums), who played a special set to a pleased crowd, and thanks to the Class of '89 for having us!

The Downbeat Brigade will be donating their time to help out the wonderful yearly event, The Relay for Life.

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in our local community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people camp out at Estero High school and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events and 18 hours in length.

The Brigade will be providing the entertainment from around 8:30-11:30. Hope to see you there!
